If you’re looking for free activities to keep the kinds entertained or just a fun date night out, Dallas can deliver in spades.  You can start with some the classics like the Reunion Tower, Perot Museum or Dallas World Aquarium, or try new experiences in must see places like Trinity Groves or the Design District.  Throughout Dallas, you will find many ways to fill up your weekends with adventure, performances and restaurants. A few of my favorites include taking in a performance at the Meyerson Symphony Center or dining out at Ferring’s, Pecan Lodge or Ocean Prime.

Homes in Dallas have an average sales price around $210,000.  Home ownership rates approaches 40%, well below national average of 64% mainly due to a younger workforce choosing to rent.  The average effective property tax rate is 2.74%.  Neighborhoods and places to live range from the likes of upscale Highland Park/Preston Hollow and UpTown to the downtown luxury apartment/condo scene, to many of the revitalized older neighborhoods throughout the city. Local School Information

In addition to the public school option provided by Dallas ISD there is also an endless array of higher education facilities located in Dallas. Local colleges consist of University of Dallas, Richland College, El Centro College, Cedar Valley College, Dallas Baptist, Parker University and the University of North Texas at Dallas just to name a few.  There are too many private schools to begin to mention, but the Private School Review is a pretty good resource.
